Recommended for anyone who facilitates

This is an amazing book! The skilled facilitator model has helped me to successfully facilitate workshops on difficult topics at my organization. Participants in the workshop were more open to sharing relevant information because of the approach. The book goes into detail about how to diagnose and intervene in the group discussion which is also critical for success when you are working with strong minded professionals who don't always agree and come with different assumptions and agendas. I have developed better interpersonal and leadership skills from practice of the Skilled Facilitator approach and believe anyone who is motivated with have a great benefit from this book.

Hands down, one of the most influential texts I've ever read on the nature of group processes - after advanced degrees in sociology of groups and in conflict resolution. If you manage or facilitate group processes in any way, I highly recommend you read this text.
